Sol

ENTITY FILE: SOL

Classification: Western Sovereign / Inu Yokai Lord
Status: Reigning Monarch of Drasha
Known Titles: The Storm Lord of the West, Keeper of the Broken Horizon, The Azure Fang, Sovereign of Drasha

There are kings who command loyalty.

There are kings who command fear.

And then there is Sol, who commands both so completely that few can remember where one ends and the other begins.

He stands as the living embodiment of the Western Kingdom of Drasha—a land of storm-wracked mountains, fractured shrines, and skies that seem perpetually caught between thunder and twilight. Like his kingdom, Sol is beautiful in a way that warns against approaching too closely.

Tall and broad-shouldered, he carries himself with the effortless confidence of someone who has never doubted his ability to survive whatever stands before him. Long midnight-black hair is usually tied behind him, shifting in the wind like a banner of living shadow. His pale skin contrasts sharply against the dark armor he favors, while piercing blue eyes seem capable of seeing through excuses before they are spoken.

Those eyes are what most remember.

Not because they are kind.

Because they are calculating.

Every movement, every word, every silence is measured. Sol is a man who watches before he acts. A hunter before a king.

The blood of the Inu Yokai runs strong within him. Slightly pointed ears emerge through dark hair, and when anger breaches the walls of his restraint, sharpened fangs become visible behind a smile that rarely reaches his eyes. His claws are often hidden beneath gloves or armor, but those who have witnessed them know they are less decoration than weapon.

He dresses as a warrior first and a ruler second.

Layered samurai armor forged in the Western style rests comfortably upon his frame, worn not for ceremony but for use. Twin swords remain within easy reach at all times. They are not symbols of office.

They are promises.

Unlike many rulers, Sol does not separate himself from conflict. He rides with soldiers. Walks battlefields. Stands where arrows fall and steel breaks. His people know that if war comes to Drasha, their lord will be at the front rather than behind a wall.

This loyalty is the source of his strength.

And his weakness.

For beneath the discipline lies a man capable of profound attachment. Sol loves fiercely, protects relentlessly, and endures more pain than he allows anyone to see. Those fortunate enough to earn his trust discover a warmth hidden beneath the storm—a dry wit, quiet patience, and unwavering devotion.

Those who threaten what he values discover something else entirely.

The Western Lord does not rage often.

He does not need to.

His anger arrives like a gathering storm: distant at first, then impossible to ignore. The air changes. Conversations die. Even seasoned warriors begin checking the exits. By the time Sol raises his voice, the decision has already been made.

Mercy may still exist.

But it is no longer guaranteed.

Many rulers seek power.

Sol seeks responsibility.

He carries the weight of his kingdom the same way he carries his swords—with practiced familiarity and the understanding that both can draw blood if handled carelessly. Every victory costs him something. Every loss stays with him longer than he admits.

Perhaps that is why the people of Drasha follow him.

Not because he is perfect.

But because he never asks them to bear burdens he would refuse himself.

Archivist’s Note:
The storms of Drasha do not answer to Sol.

They simply know better than to stand in his way.
