The Soulbond Amulet
✦ Intimate Relics of the Moon and Wolf ✦
“Not all artifacts are forged in battle. Some are forged in longing.”
The Childhood Gift

Type: Soulbond Amulet
Origin: Forged by Umbra in Daichi’s youth, during their first winter apart. The amulet was said to be shaped from shardfall glass—a celestial material that falls from the heavens only during lunar eclipses, capable of trapping reflections within it.
Appearance:
A smooth, teardrop-shaped pendant that catches moonlight like frozen water. Within the glass, two etched wolves chase each other endlessly—one silver, one shadow.
Magic:
- Echo of the Bond: When Daichi touches two fingers to the glass, he can hear a faint whine—the spirit-song of the twin wolves. The sound reflects Umbra’s current state: calm if she sleeps, restless if she wakes.
- Essence Resonance: The amulet hums gently when Umbra dreams, allowing Daichi to feel her pulse across any distance.
- Protective Warding: In moments of danger, the glass briefly glows with Umbra’s essence, deflecting a single blow meant to pierce Daichi’s heart.
Ritual of Bonding:
Performed beneath moonlight. Both must place a drop of blood on the amulet’s surface, sealing their essences within.
Cost:
Every time it hums in grief or longing, a faint crack grows in the glass—a reminder that even divine love has limits.
When the wolves meet within the glass, one day, the amulet will shatter.
“Their souls run in circles. When one rests, the other dreams.”
