Valafi Kingdom
ATLAS CODEX OF CUPIS
Vol. I — Western Dominion Records
Plate XI — The Valafi of the Western Lands

THE VALAFI
Seafaring Tribes of the Western Reaches
Ruled by the Chief
PRIMARY DESIGNATION
Valafi Tribes
“Those Who Move With the Water”
GEOGRAPHIC NATURE
- Region: Western Lands of Cupis
- Terrain:
- Dense forest (Greenshadow)
- Interwoven rivers and lakes
- Coastal access to the Azure Sea
This is not land that is conquered.
It is land that must be understood.
CAPITAL — MIRIVUNE
Mirivune does not rise above the land like Thornfrost.
It does not sit at the center of it like Moonhollow.
It flows through it.
- Built along branching waterways
- Structures connected by bridges, docks, and narrow paths
- Water is not boundary—it is infrastructure
Archivist’s Note:
Where others build walls, Mirivune builds currents.
STRUCTURAL PHILOSOPHY
- No rigid symmetry
- Expansion follows water flow, not design plans
- Wood, rope, and stone used in balance
The city shifts.
Not physically—but in function and movement.
RULE OF THE CHIEF
The Valafi are ruled by a Chief (not king, not queen).
- Leadership is earned through navigation—of land, people, and sea
- Authority is maintained through respect and adaptability, not dominance
- A Chief who cannot read change… does not remain Chief

Marginalia:
“The sea does not follow rulers.
The wise ruler follows the sea.”
KEY REGIONS — VERIFIED
Greenshadow Forest
- Dense, living canopy
- Provides materials, cover, and silence
Lake Vaedil
- Central water body feeding Mirivune
- Trade, travel, and ritual site
Silverglen
- Transitional zone between forest and water
- Likely settlement expansion zone
Mistgrove
- Heavy fog presence
- Natural concealment
Azure Sea
- Lifeblood of the Valafi
- Trade routes, war routes, migration paths
CULTURAL OBSERVATIONS
- Movement is constant
- Stillness is unnatural
- Boats are extensions of the self
Children learn water before they learn land.
Balance is survival.
DEFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY
Mirivune does not defend like Thornfrost.
It does not contain like Moonhollow.
It evades, redirects, and disappears.
- Waterways can be altered or blocked
- Paths shift with tides and seasons
- Outsiders lose direction quickly
Field Note:
“You cannot siege what you cannot hold still.”
SEALED COMPARATIVE ENTRY
Moonhollow watches.
Thornfrost stands.Mirivune moves.
And of the three—
It may be the hardest to truly conquer.
FINAL ANNOTATION — RESTRICTED
The waters around Mirivune are not passive.
They carry memory.
They carry warning.
And when the Valafi go to war—
The sea does not remain neutral.
